On 13 February 2017, Pastor Raymond was abducted from his car while driving on a street in Petaling Jaya.

Eyewitness and CCTV footages indicates the use of highly efficient tactical pursuit and containment manoeuvre by a 6-vehicle convoy.

The SUHAKAM Public Inquiry concluded that Pastor Raymond is a victim of enforced disappearance and alluded to the involvement of state agenicies.

After which, his family filed a civil suit against the police and government.

The family expresses utter disppointment and sadness at the shoddy investigation by the police and the apparent lack of will to bring Raymond’s abductors to justice.
