EC receives 165,624 new-voter registration |

KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 – The Election Commission (EC) said 165,624 new voter registrations were received for the first quarter, from April to June, this year. The EC in a statement today said from the total, 25,693 registrations were received from existing voters, requiring for a change in their polling address. The statement added that the registration list for the second quarter of 2010 would be displayed for public viewing at 999 locations throughout the country from tomorrow to Monday. New voters and those requesting for a change in address should check the lists displayed, said the statement. Those who have registered as new voters but their names are missing from the displayed list, can submit a request to the state EC director, using Borang B within seven days, added the statement. – Bernama |
