shakuntala  - Malaysia, we hear you call! |2010-01-03 13:38:49
Whew, how time flies!!! It seems like as if we celebrated the Millenium 2000, only yesterday.

After that, 10 long good years have gone by already. Our country called out to us to love her more, she wanted unconditional love from every single one of us, but we, Malaysians, did not hear her call.In the true sense. We gave her piecemeal love, not as one people.

She stood her ground and called out again and again...

Because...she was desperate....she was in tears, she was unhappy. She wanted ALL of us. together.

She was being disrespected, her laws were being flouted, her young were being tossed about, beaten and mis-used.They lost their usefulfirst energy and slipped away, before our own ears and eyes..we lost some lovely people to untimely deaths.

Then we sat up.....hey, that life is precious, that life is unique, that life is made in the image of God. It belongs to my country, Malaysia. Whoever it was had no right to take it away.

Stop....we will not allow you...no, not anymore, to mis-use what is sacred, what is lived only once... We needed to act.

Finally and finally..... we cried... for our lost people , they had become our brothers....

WE DONOT WANT THIS STATUS QUO ANYMORE.WE WANT CHANGE, NOT ANY CHANGE,WE WANT CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

We want to live and love Malaysia, not as separate entities in a country which has no barriers, in a country which is opening its arms to us.We want to embrace our country Malaysia, not as separate people, but ALL TOGETHER, AS MALAYSIANS.

We must heed our country's call..."breathes there the man with soul so dead, who never to himself has said, this is my own, MY native land."

In the next decade, the next 10 years, let us promise our country, our beloved Malaysia that we did not hear her call... loud enough.

But we do now and we are ready to take our stand...In the dawn of this decade, 2010....let us all Malaysians hear our country call to us all, to come together as OnePeOple OneNation.

And that means we are committed to our quest to free our nation from a stagnant and stale environment, from the arms of the few and the powerful, to become one that is just and equal, one that embraces all of us, as one bretheren..a vibrant and colourful people called simply and truly....Malaysians.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
